Exciting News from the Sixth Form Debate Society in Luton!

We are delighted to share some exciting updates from our Sixth Form Debate Society here in Luton! This year promises to be one of our most dynamic and inspiring yet, with a fresh wave of energy and enthusiasm from our new Year 12 recruits.

Our sixth form students are already showing incredible commitment, curiosity, and talent as they step into the world of debating. From tackling big ideas to refining their persuasive speaking skills, the Debate Society is giving them the chance to grow in confidence while developing valuable life skills.

Internal Competitions – KS5 vs. KS4

One of the highlights of our calendar is fast approaching: our much-anticipated internal debate competition! Year 12 (KS5) will go head-to-head with Year 11 (KS4) in what promises to be a showcase of talent, wit, and powerful arguments. These debates are not only fun but also a fantastic way for students to sharpen their communication and critical thinking skills.

Looking Beyond – External Competitions

In addition to our internal events, our Sixth Form Debate Society will also be taking part in a range of external competitions across Luton and beyond. These opportunities will allow our students to compete with other schools, challenge themselves in new settings, and represent our sixth form on a bigger stage.
